We started with brainstorming and I got an idea of using puns in the name of the exhibition. By basing the idea on the name lost course as everyone seems to be a bit lost on this course. we went on to come up with ideas as to what that could be it could be a sensory idea of finding yourself within the exhibition, for example, a maze based design in that you might get lost this idea might not work as well in that the space is not that big. There was also another interesting  idea to turn the word backwards so the exhibition would be called Pam, the idea would involve having everything the wrong way around and changing the way that you could experience the event.  in the end, we found that basing the idea on a treasure map. this idea could move across all media and create some interesting visual ideas.

we talked about keeping the typeface simple and clean in a sans serif style to allow the other elements to have a louder voice within the design.

We discussed colurs and the first idea was to have it in fun colours to keep with the childlike idea of the treasure map. we continues talking and we discussed having the colours be gold and black. we came to the conclusion that gold could look a bit tacky, so we found a nice yellow colour, that also references the idea of a treasure but also references the mural thing by the new entrance with the yellow colour. we discussed finding a dark gray colour but Ben came and said that we could use an electric blue because that can create a dark gray colour in a screen print.

In order to create some rules for the designs, we found the degrees Noth that Leeds is the use of degrees references compasses and also creates an idea for grids that we can use, both in posters and type. we also decided that we are to incorporate a mix of media in that some are to be made by hand and others are to be digitally produced.

In terms of symbols, we decided using circles, lines, and exes as they all reference treasure maps or maps in general.
