evaluation

I feel like I managed to schedule my time well and I think I got an interesting end result because of it. I am happy with most of the projects. I did not quite keep with the schedule at some points because of some issues with collaborators and forgetting how much time some things take. I sometimes found it difficult to work in some groups as some people decided that they were not invested. I feel like I could have tried a bit more to get backups. I also wished that I was better at incorporating the illustrations, but at the same time, I was told to keep the illustrations minimal to make the product believable. 

I feel like I answered the briefs fairly competently, but there are some things that I wish would be different, such as I should have done more research, I think as the bits that I did were not all that design-focused enough. I feel like I should have done more. overall I feel like the end products are quite effective.

I also wish that I thought a bit better through the collaborations. as I ended up giving up on my collaborators from back home. I also wish that more of the collaborators actually did what they said that they would do. The good thing about that is that I now know a new program and I’ve worked out my patience. I also wished I had set certain expectations in the first meeting as the collaborators I found, later on, I set a timeline and expectations, and even though the images were overexposed she finished in time and they do work. 

I really like the SensAble project and I feel like I managed to explore and figure out more about another generation. I talked to this mate of mine that workes at an elderly home and she showed the final result to some of her patients and they seemed interested, which I really appreciate. I wish this product was real. As the Huldr project was meant to be shorter than what it ended up as it extended into a two-week brief instead of a week and a half, I feel like it was worth it as the end result could work and the concept would probably be used, is a company would bother. I think that affordable books online would work and it would also be easier to get people to spend money on it if it was the mixed media and a monthly subscription. 

The things that I wish could have been better is the poster of SensAble, the box, and the app. I wish that I chose a different paper stock and have picked a glossy paper instead of the poster or explored more at least. I did most of the development with Instagram, but I feel like the poster would have needed some more.  The box should have been in a thicker paper but the issue with that would be the folding and embossing would not show up with the quality that I would need.
