Since my game is quite big, I would need a big specimen I am not sure that a booklet would work out that well unless I make it at least A3. I do really want to make a booklet but I’m not sure it will work out. I have made a draft of a single sheet, out is not quite sure yet though. I want to make a draft to make a Japanese punch binding. I feel like that is the only way I can make a booklet that works.

The sheet would be glued on the bottom of the box that I made, but I feel like it is too simple. I might do that too in addition to the booklet that I might make. The booklet has to be big so I am going to make it so that it is in proportion to the box.
I made the box based on a box template that I found online. I could not make it that way because it would be way too small. So, I based the box on the board with the coordinates that I made. I made the base and a lid on Friday, but the lid did not fit properly as it was too loose, so I set out to create a new one today. I based the lid on the base this time and not just by measurements, that worked perfectly so it does not fall apart. To make the box I cut out a rectangle and cut out the corners leaving a lip. I then taped them together.

In the game, there will be cards that will tell you what coordinates to go for. I had some ideas as to how to do it, but I do not want a clear answer in the game it should be slightly open to interpretation, so I worked on that. My first draft was to have the letter the coordinates in the typeface on the back. My second idea was to leave the backside bare, but it is slightly boring. I then set out to create a pattern to use on the backside. I took the lettering and mashed them together to create a mish-mash of lettering, it works in my mind though, it is simple yet effective and I believe it would go well with the overall design. I might make it all monochrome and not blue/gray. I chose the gray color to show that it is not necessarily a children’s game and show that it is for an older audience. But I believe that black and white would be a bit more sophisticated.
