What entails in it being a machine?
According to thesaurus.com, it can mean a lot more than I could think of. I would never think of making a gadget for that, in my mind a machine requires a motor, but in a way, the person behind the machine would be the motor. You can also interpret the machine into being a well-organized system or regime. What is a lettering machine?
A lettering machine could possibly be anything, from a couple pencils to a proper traditional machine. A lettering machine could possibly be five pencils taped together that are used to create lettering I think.
