The idea is based on the footpaths from a nearby park, from where hip-hop evolved from. The cinema in itself is made up by the main circle with additional extensions. The reason for the chosen part of the part is because it is almost symmetrical this shows how the music has slightly shifted its original audience. The paths also create a and it is reminiscent of traditional Norwegian knitting patterns, such as the Marius pattern.
The idea is that the outside should represent what people think of Norway, most people think of it as one of the most peaceful places and one of the happiest places in the world. so the outside is to show a mix of traditions and new technology and Scandinavian design, but the inside is showing the dark side of the culture and the reason that rap has risen to be such a prominent music genre in Norway. The reason is that many young people of color or other ethnic backgrounds in the capital city is forced to live according to the societal standards, and are not expected to exceed in life. there is a misconception among many of the older generations that they should not be able to make a good life for themselves. So the inside of the cover is to show that dodgy side.
The pristine and clean cut outer design could also relate to the exceeded pressure younger people put on themselves to try to be perfect. the patter is not perfect, it is slightly off some places as no one can be perfect, the song Fy Faen talks about that no one will allow themselves to fail because that is not ok, in the chorus that is.
