Study task - 6 Typography for 7" album

For this task, we were set to create typography for the albums using different techniques such as kerning, lest align, snake, repetition direction change, split and pattern. this was to generate ideas to use for the screenprint later on. In this task, there was a focus in creating repetition in particular because the chosen song only has two words in the chorus. The idea to have the visual language juxtapose from the music genre is quite eye-catching. The current idea is to create a pattern for the inner sleeve to show the gritty vibe of the early Norwegian rap. The clean outside would show how it has evolved from that idea that people looked down on people singing the chorus, to nowadays that this is a common acutance. In this task, the other overarching idea was to conceptualize the idea from the 90s that you should now want to be famous from your music and keep the artist name on the down low. The idea of chopping off the artist name might work well with that.
If that idea is to be taken forward the typography would probably be in lowercase, as you could apply Brian Coe's typographical experiment and remove the bottom half.

There was also an attempt to create patterns, and have it all based around the two words, just in different length and line spacing.
