Prints map the journey up the Sgurr Alasdair, the highest peak on Skye, representing the ‘views’ he saw on the trip. the screenprints are in a postcard format.
The work is based on walks around Edinbrough Printmakers and the illustrations are of things found around the location. the illustrations are abstract and he is aiming to invite people to reconsider the relationship with the urban environment.
This project by David Lemm where he mapped the Isle of Eigg it was a part of Life Off The Grid project with Edinburgh University and the Brothy Project. The aim was to examine how maps were perceived on the island and finding another way to map. He worked with using simple lines to illustrate the idea.
