In the crit, it was quite straight forward.
We went through possible production methods such as typesetting. The problem here is that there is no way of creating the Norwegian characters I would need, in order to produce the book as the set lack æøå, and those are used in the book both on the cover and in the body. So that there is no way of creating the type so that it would work without translating the book.
The ide is that it is to be a bit hidden and we all agreed on the idea of a dos-à-dos binding (from the French meaning “back-to-back) so that the book would allow you to see both sides of Folehavna, the war construction, and the hiking trail. The cover would use the embossing techniques and go across both covers. So it is one continuous texture. the book would have to made with a textile paper so that the reader would get experience by just browsing through it. The two different books there are different elements that will be showcased, in the current side there would be folowers and plants embossed whilst in the ww2 side there could be embossing of cannons or some other weapons. they said that the book should keep the rough edge that the embossed mockup has as to showcase the rough and overgrown nature of it. they suggested that there should not be any type on the outside, but as to showcase the title I think I could put it on the "endpapers"/ cover of the pamphlet stitch books.
I had an idea that I sould redact the text in the current side as to focus on the good parts, and hide the turbulent past.
