as the ides is to have the new book be censored I had to find out whether I would do it by hand and if so what sort of coverage does it need after some peer feedback it was decided that the line would have to be a full black and quite thick as if not it would be too legible. it can only showcase a tiny bit of the top and bottom of the glyphs.
the raged line works quite well as to off-center the strict typographic layout and the content of the book as a whole. the redaction could also just focus on the historical bit and let the nice parts shine through.
the digital redaction is interesting as it creates more of a pattern, which is not what the book needs as it becomes more prison-like.
the overarching idea of the type layout is based on creating an uncomfortable reading experience with the help of short line lengths and hyphenation.
the centered text is a bit too easy and the readability is even worse, the aim of the book is not to have it impossible to read or that annoying to read. the ragged edge on both sides is a bit much and its distracting.
I tried redacting all of the text but it did not make sense, so instead ill divide into two after some feedback from dom to the history part is only viewed on the history side of the book and the boring superficial info is on the new side.
it does not translate that well with the straight-edged redaction with the typewriter or the analog computer typeface so that will not happen. the clean lines link to the other side of the book better so in spite of what some people said this will not happen. the link between the two sides is more important than having the same typeface on the whole side of the book
