production

since I have re-evaluated the penguin part of the brief I decided to go for a contrast-based typeface that I also used the same typeface in the logo, in the logo I altered the serifs, so have it flow together better with the logo icon. I used the logo icon for the arrows to reference the logo and create a cohesive look. My plan is to keep the layout as a simple grid,

to rate the audiobooks I created this symbol from the logo icon.  so instead of stars you rate books and audiobooks in these shapes, instead of as it references the angles of stars.

in order to figure out what sort of layout I decided what I wanted to have within it. what I wanted to have is a function that would allow you to follow along in the book as a scrolling mechanism somewhere, it needs to have the cover and control panel.

I don't like the first one as the bottom part seems to be crammed in and people would probably not bother with following along.
the second one is better but I find it a bit too separated as the play and speed buttons are separated from the covers.
I am therefore going to go wit with the Spotify inspired layout and making the cover smaller to allow for a more spacious look to it.

I started to create the flowchart and he said that it would be too much for him to properly code in this time frame with everything else he has going on... he suggested using XD so I can do it myself. and that he could animate the loading screen because he has started to dabble in that. How can I have so much bad luck? ill try to figure it out.
