Peer feedback

Image only
Is it a banana
The odd white patch I’m drawn to first
Don’t get symbols at first
Slightly uncomfortable as hard to understand

Type and image
Nice words
I like the typeface because it looks nice, the white.
White text grabs attention first and I read that first
The symbol is looked at later which represent how help is sought later rather than in the moment

Type only
Type idea is clever, from far away you would only see it as a pattern
White symbols contrast with the rest of the design so really
stands out
Nice grid for clear layout
Reason for middle one slightly darker
a distance but I can image you would be able to if you could see it up close. Maybe having it in a serif typeface would help people to be able to read it better.
- Want to know what the dots and dashes means, I’m guessing it is again Morse code.
Image only
Really interesting and eye-catching design, like the contrast between the ambiguous and dispersed background imagery and the solid geometric shapes that are overlaid.
The imagery is really ambiguous though and maybe doesn’t have the most obvious meaning but if this is what you wanted, then that has been achieved.

Type and image
The image in the middle kind of looks like an exclamation mark but it is also kind of known that it's not actually meant to be an exclamation mark, could consider turning this to the side and would link understanding to the image and type design.

Type only
Like the use of 3 grid, and simpler than the other design but also clear and effective. The white Morse code contrasts the darker background, making the type really obvious against the smaller and more subtle background type. Can you actually read the small print when close-up to the board?
Image only
- The use of the splatter pattern in the background works well, after reading you understand what the pattern is created from and it fits with the theme
- Your eye is drawn to the white section at the right of the image, but I don’t think this is a bad thing?
- I really like the inclusion of the Morse code throughout both the image only and text and image posters
- The contrast in the image is really strong and makes the Morse code elements stand out, which works really well

text only
- The confusing element in the design makes it more intriguing, and I like how it takes an effort to read what it says
- Again, the Morse code works really well, with the design element continued from the just image poster, providing continuity
- I like how contrasted the design is, making you look at the Morse code shapes first then wondering what the text behind is

Text and image
- I think this design communicates the theme the best
- The stable figure-ground relationship of the white on black makes the design striking, and the use of tightened leading makes the design have a sense of confusion, reminds me of someone thoughts going on in their head?

Image
- the overall appearance of the image is very ambiguous, this could either draw the audience in as it is intriguing, or they could simply walk by and ignore it as they don´t understand it straight away.
- The lines and dots can be easily recognized, and once I knew it was Morse code I wanted to know what it said.
- - the overall theme isn´t obvious straight away, but the aesthetic is very pleasing to look at.

Image and text
- Really like the overall look, the exclamation mark is very defined and makes you wonder why it´s there.
- The appearance of the poster is very serious, it looks as though it is commanding someone to do something.
- The text has a very distressed narrative, this is aided by the tight leading, suggesting a sense of chaos. It might be nice if the kerning is also very close, could further this effect even more.

Text

- I really like the small text in the background, it is hard to read from

I mostly agree with the issues
the idea that the image only is can be anything works well when working more with it I also see a closed eye.
